Manicure of the Month: Holiday Rudolph Nails

Hey everybody! I am very excited to share my favorite manicure (so far) for the month.

A la Instagram. If you aren’t following me yet, you definitely should, @soniaisag. You will be bombarded with pictures of my nails, my meals and my nephews.

Back to the mani, I followed a really great video tutorial by MissJenFabulous of Polish and Pearls for this look. She made it seem so effortless that I just had to try it, and I am so glad I did.

Making the reindeer was actually really easy. And this is probably my favorite accent nail ever. I am not posting a tutorial for this manicure since the video I followed is really helpful. I encourage anyone wanting to give this a try to check it out!

This was my secret weapon for Rudolph.

Julep Quick Dry Polish Drops are possibly the best invention ever. The drops smell great and work even better than any quick dry top coat I have tried.

I have a confession…I was working on this manicure right before work to have it finished for the holiday party. I was watching a movie with my little sister and not really paying attention to the time. Needless to say, I had to get ready in a hurry while still watching out for my manicure. I could not find my precious quick dry drops and had to be really cautious. At the last step, as I was reaching for my eyeliner, Rudolph, and only Rudolph, smudged. It was really bad. After a few minutes of my personal pity party, I decided to finish getting ready and leave with an unfinished manicure.

I gave it another try today using the quick dry drops between each layer and it worked like a charm. I owe Mr. Rudolph to this magical elixir and my sisters encouraging words to give it another try.

One final look.

I hope you enjoyed this months manicure. Is anyone thinking of rocking this mani at their next holiday party? If so, please share your pictures! I actually have a few awesome manicures lined up for the rest of the month, do not be surprised if I post another one soon.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I am ready to shop til I drop with my best friend and hit up a few good holiday parties. Gosh I love this time of the year. Talk to y’all soon!

Manicure of the month

Manicures are a really big part of my wellness plan. I have a really emotionally draining and stressful job speaking to victims of domestic violence everyday. Thankfully, the organization I am a part of really promotes a wellness culture on the floor to help us build our resilience.

As my parents have always told me, you have to help yourself to help others. Part of that for me are my manicures, which help me express my creativity and de-stress.

With all of that being said, I think I am going to start sharing this part of my life with you all by sharing my manicure of the month! I know it’s still early in the month but I’m really happy with today’s manicure that I thought I would share 🙂

I used my October – Julep Maven box to achieve this look. I used Julep’s Eloise, which is probably my new favorite color, and Sabrina, a Halloween inspired crackle color, to achieve this look.

Julep is a monthly subscription of nail polishes. I have been a loyal customer for about 8 months and have fallen in love with all their products. Each box includes two nail polishes chosen accordingly with your beauty profile along with a few extra goodies! Love finding this little box in the mail every month!

Anyhoo, here is my favorite manicure so far this month 🙂 Do not be surprised if I end up sharing another one this month.

Voila! I think it’s a keeper.

I hope everyone has a great week! I am getting over a cold from this weekend, ready to get back to my routine!
